When heroes are portrayed so nastily, being cold and mean, and having had a mistress for a year then I have a difficult time ever believing that the guy is in love. I never believe that a man could actually be this stupid, but what do I know? Anyway, this is actually a great story except for the H.
The thing I most disliked was that he had the gall to be angry that he didn't know he had a child. The h tried several times to tell him and he told her to get out. So he had no one to blame but himself, and his half-brother who didn't believe her either. The half-brother lied to him and said he hadn't seen her, even though they had met. He decided to throw her under the bus instead and told the H he hadn't seen her but that he heard she was living with a guy.
I sincerely hope, since we didn't see this, that the H reamed him a new one for blatantly lying like that. I have re-read a couple of times, and do recommend it.
Third entry in the Hot Blooded Husbands series. I recommend you read the first two books in the series to get context. She was poor and had no clue Rafiq was really a prince. Rafiq learns just WHO was involved in keeping his son's existence from him. Very good read! I liked the relationship between the main characters a lot. I felt bad about how the hero's brother helped to keep them apart even though he thought he was protecting his brother.
